Kia ora koutou Amazing Race for Year 8 students It was wonderful to have our prospective Year 8 students come in to take part in the “Amazing Race” around the college yesterday. The purpose of this event is to give the students a feel of the college, to meet key members of staff and to generally feel comfortable about coming to college next year. We were extremely lucky with the weather which made it a great event for all. We are looking forward to welcoming our new students next year. |

Year 8 Pasifika Day Today, we welcomed over forty of next year's Pasifika students and whānau to PC with games, dancing and kai. Our junior Pasifika students did an amazing job running activities and getting to know our new students. We are hoping these new friendships and connections will create a stronger sense of community within our Pasifika families from across our primary schools. A big thank you to our Kahui Ako Pasifika Steering Group for the inspiration and mahi! |

Cultural Market Day It was wonderful to see an amazing array of food available, made by our students, at our cultural market day this lunch time. All food was $2 which gave everyone the opportunity to taste the world and cherish our diversity! Thank you to our food and nutrition department (Dionne Ross, Brenda McKenzie, Chantelle Hamilton and Dale Bain) for guiding the students through and putting on this great event. |

Support Staff Vacancies We currently have two support staff vacancies at the college. One is as Senior Leadership Team Support (full-time, 40 hours per week) and the other area we are requiring support is our International Department with a vacancy for an International Support & Groups Coordinator (22 hours per week, term time only). Last week of NCEA exams This is the final week for NCEA exams. A reminder that our College Canteen is open all day for students involved in exams from 8:00 am to 2.30 pm. Host an international student We are still seeking some more host families for students for 2025, for both short term and long term students. Homestay families receive $350 per week. Upcoming Dates PC! You’ve Got Talent! - Friday 6 December Our annual Year 9 Talent Quest takes place on Friday 6 December at 6:30pm in the College Auditorium. This is the 36th talent quest in the history of the college. There will be refreshments for sale and tickets are available at the door on the night and are only $5! Eftpos available. Come and see our wonderfully talented Year 9 students. A night of great entertainment! Junior Prize-givings - Wednesday 11 December Junior prize-givings take place on the last day of the term in the College Community Gym:
Information will be sent to you the week prior advising recipients of awards etc. At the conclusion of prize-givings, students will be free to leave. It is envisaged that each prize-giving will be about an hour and a half to two hours in duration. |

COMMUNITY NOTICES New Zealand Traveller Declaration Going overseas this summer? Everyone travelling into, or returning to, New Zealand must complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration. The New Zealand Traveller Declaration collects travel, customs, immigration and biosecurity information and aims to improve the safety and security of New Zealand. It replaces the paper card you used to fill out on the plane. To make your arrival easier, do your digital declaration before your flight to New Zealand. It’s free to complete. If you’re travelling as a family or group and completing multiple declarations, the NZTD app allows you to copy your travel details into another declaration, making it easier to complete multiple declarations for the same journey. The submitted declarations are then all easy to see within the app. Head to travellerdeclaration.govt.nz today! Levin Little Theatre - Alice in Cuckoo Land - 29 November to 14 December Levin Little Theatre's upcoming production of Alice in Cuckoo land is a family-friendly interactive comedy that is sure to please all ages. The evil Queen of Hearts is determined that Christmas will be banned from her realm and has locked Santa in the dungeons - can Alice and her friends free Santa and save Christmas? Before the matinees from 1pm there will be a Mad Hatters Tea Party - with high tea and entertainment, wear your wackiest hat and you could win a prize. Group discounts are available for 10 or more tickets. |
